1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using ChronoCast AI ("ChronoCast", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. ChronoCast is published by Virtus Opus.

2. Description of Service

ChronoCast turns a photograph you provide into a short illustrated comic with spoken narration, using AI models to read the image, write the story, illustrate the panels, and generate the audio. You choose a visual world, a narrator, a narrative perspective, and the place and era the story is set in. Finished comics are stored on your device and can be exported as a video.

3. AI-Generated Fiction — Not a Historical Record

ChronoCast is a storytelling tool. Everything it produces — the panels, the narration, the names, the dates, the events — is creative fiction generated by AI, inspired by your photograph. It is not researched, not verified, and must not be relied upon as historical, factual, educational, or journalistic content.

The app is instructed to avoid asserting specific claims it cannot stand behind and to stay evocative rather than invent citations, but AI models can and do produce confident-sounding inaccuracies. Scenes set in the future are speculation by definition. If you intend to share a ChronoCast comic in a context where people might take it as fact, please make its nature clear.

4. Your Photographs and Content

You must have the right to use any photograph you put into ChronoCast. You agree not to use the app with:

  • Photographs of people who have not agreed to appear, or images of children who are not in your care;
  • Content you do not own or otherwise have permission to use;
  • Content intended to harass, defame, impersonate, or mislead;
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any other unlawful material.

Requests are also subject to the safety systems of our AI providers, which may refuse to process some images or produce some content.

5. Ownership of What You Make

You keep your original photographs. As between you and us, we make no ownership claim over the comics you generate, and you are free to share and post them. Note that AI-generated output may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions, and that similar inputs may produce similar outputs for other users. If you publish a comic commercially, you are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to everything in the underlying photograph.

6. Acceptable Use

  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or its backend service.
  • Do not use automated means to generate content at volume, or attempt to circumvent the comic limits attached to your plan.
  • Do not resell or redistribute access to the service itself.

7. Subscriptions, Credits and Payments

ChronoCast is free to download and includes a small number of free comics. ChronoCast Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered as a weekly or monthly plan, each including a set number of comics for that period. A separate one-off credit top-up is also available.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Included comics are granted per billing period and do not roll over to the next period.
  • Purchased credits are consumable, do not expire, and are not restored by Apple's "Restore Purchases" once used.
  • Prices vary by region and are shown in the App Store before purchase.

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them directly.

8. Availability and Third-Party Services

ChronoCast depends on third-party AI services and an internet connection. Those services may be slow, unavailable, or may change, and comics cannot be generated while they are down. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. A comic that fails to generate does not consume one of your comics.

9. Privacy

Your use of ChronoCast is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what is sent off your device and why.

10. Intellectual Property

The ChronoCast app, its name, its interface, and its underlying prompts and systems are the property of Virtus Opus and are protected by intellectual property law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChronoCast is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of generated content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Virtus Opus is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of ChronoCast, including any reliance on generated content or any consequence of sharing it.

13. Termination

You may stop using ChronoCast at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law principles.
