  • Wellness Data: Presente Score, emotional check-ins, practice preferences
  • Device Information: Device type, OS version, app version, IP address

2. Microphone Access

Important: Presente requires microphone access for voice conversations with Sol. Voice recordings are processed temporarily and automatically deleted after transcription. Only text transcriptions are retained in your conversation history.

We use voice data for:

  • Voice conversations with Sol (speech-to-text)
  • Voice-guided meditation with breathing pattern detection
  • Challenge reflections via voice notes
  • Emotional check-ins verbally

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide AI-powered wellness guidance and companionship
  • Personalize your wellness pathways and recommendations
  • Track your Presente Score and progress
  • Improve Sol's emotional intelligence and responses
  • Maintain conversation context and memory
  • Send relevant wellness reminders (optional)

4. AI Processing

When you interact with Sol:

  • Voice recordings are processed through on-device speech recognition when possible
  • Text conversations are processed through OpenAI's API
  • OpenAI processes this data with ZERO data retention policy
  • Your wellness data helps personalize Sol's guidance

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share information with:

  • OpenAI: For AI processing of conversations (zero retention policy)
  • Firebase (Google): For data storage and authentication
  • Expo: App development framework
  • Analytics Providers: For usage analytics (anonymized)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and ALL associated data
  • Export your conversation history (JSON/CSV)
  • Opt out of analytics collection
  • Withdraw microphone consent at any time

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate measures to protect your wellness data:

  • TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Firebase/Google Cloud)
  • Regular security audits
  • Limited employee access to user data

8. Data Retention

  • Account Data: Until you delete your account
  • Conversation History: Until account deletion
  • Voice Recordings: Deleted immediately after processing
  • Usage Analytics: 2 years (anonymized after 1 year)

9. Crisis Resources

Presente includes crisis resources for users experiencing mental health emergencies. The app provides access to:

  • Crisis hotlines (988, Crisis Text Line)
  • Emergency services contact
  • Sol detects concerning language and provides resources

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes through the app or email.
